On the up and up
So, first of all, I might have a paying job. I applied for a delivery driver position (part time) at Dominos Pizza. He said he'll let me know if I passed the background check by this next Wednesday. It's not glamorous, but I'm not too proud and every little bit helps right now. Unfortunately, this means I am going to have to be a little wiser on how I spend my time.
Also, I applied for a a business venture class where they walk you through the entire process and if its good enough and developed enough, help you secure financing and make it happen. I bought the domain, set up email, added my two programmers, and even created a Facebook page. TradeMyTextbook.com.
Might be getting a new roommate. Cool cat. I'll know by Monday. I hope it works out. Me and this guy would probably get along well.
Go my drivers license back in the mail today. About time. Of course, that just reminds me that I need to get ready for court this August.

U.S. Army Veteran Medals... Nowhere in Sight
I've been waiting the last two weeks eagerly checking the mailbox -- waiting for my father's service medals to arrive. I requested them nearly a year ago. This morning, I decided to check on the status of this request and noticed that it changed from:

Your request contains awards which are currently not in stock. As soon as inventory is replenished, we will complete your request. However, we can not estimate an approximate ship date at this time. We apologize for this delay.
====================
If anything, our government consistently amazes me in its predictability of consistent failure, inefficiency, and disappointment. I suppose I should schedule a reminder to check in with them in about six months. This makes me a little sad.

Simple but Delicious Smoothie
You can vary the amount of the ingredients to figure out what tastes best to you... otherwise, very simple yet delicious low carb smoothie.
- canned mandarin oranges packed in juice (not syrup)
- the juice from the canned oranges
- heavy cream
- Truvia sweetener
- ice
This is pretty tasty and a way to get some "sweets" in when you're doing the low carb thing.
